{"id":816,"date":"2020-06-18T12:26:03","date_gmt":"2020-06-18T19:26:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.supportbc.org\/?p=816"},"modified":"2021-11-17T13:36:08","modified_gmt":"2021-11-17T21:36:08","slug":"bc-student-emergency-fund","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/supportbc.org\/staging\/bc-student-emergency-fund\/","title":{"rendered":"BC Student Emergency Fund &#8211; Call for donations"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>In response to the COVID-19 crisis, the Bakersfield College Foundation in collaboration with the Office of Financial Aid has created the Bakersfield College Student Emergency Fund to help our students weather this difficult time. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We encourage you to consider making a donation today to the fund to provide support to students in need of help with costs associated with gaps in technology needed to continue their education, medical and child care expenses, housing, etc. The goal of this fund is to provide relief now and in future emergency situations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Donations can be made through the BC Foundation website, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.supportbc.org\/\">SupportBC.org<\/a> and selecting \u201cBC Student Emergency Fund\u201d from the drop down menu or BC faculty and staff may set up automatic payroll deductions by contacting Foundation at <a href=\"mailto:foundation@bakersfieldcollege.edu\">foundation@bakersfieldcollege.edu<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Any amount is helpful and thank you in advance for your consideration.
