SUMMARY:Spring Choral Concert: I Have A Voice
DESCRIPTION:The Bakersfield College Choirs present a concert entitled\, “I Have a Voice” on April 22 at 7:30 pm in the Indoor Theatre at BC. \nThe concert will feature the BC College Choir\, Chamber Singers\, and the Renegade Chorus under the direction of Dr. Jennifer Garrett with Patrick Bender as collaborative pianist. Through composers such as Moira Smiley\, Paul Rardin\, Joaquin des Prez\, Levente\, Rheinberger\, and more the choirs and audience will explore the many way we have a voice today and the ability to acknowledge and hear the voices around us. \nPrior to the concert there will be a fundraiser dinner at 6:00 pm in front of the Outdoor Theatre. \nThe BC Choirs hope you will join us to raise funds for opportunities for the BC Choirs including the BC Chamber Singers June 2023 tour to Vienna\, Prague\, and Berlin. \nTickets can be purchased for the dinner and concert through the Bakersfield College Foundation: Purchase Tickets. \nWe hope you will join us on April 22 for an evening celebrating the voices we can raise together in song! \nAccommodations are available with advanced notice\, please contact Jennifer Garrett at jennifer.garrett@bakersfieldcollege.edu.

DESCRIPTION:Based on the CDC’s recommendation of cancelling gatherings of 50 people or more to slow the spread of the Coronavirus COVID-19\, we have decided to cancel the annual Honors Celebration Ceremony. \nIn lieu of the ceremony and as a practice of social distancing\, we plan to share a campus wide email at the beginning of May including information regarding the students that receive honors.
